I have exact same problem and cannot for the life of me find an organization that actually certifies that a business is a "small business". I tried the SBA and they did not know what it was. Amazon says it can be ANY organization yet I search the internet and cannot locate any such things. I feel like I am missing something.

I have the same email. I have never uploaded a certificate so dont understand what or if I need to do it. Will they shut your account down if you dont renew something you never had?

My understanding is that SupplierGATEWAY is the easiest one but they also charge you. I can't find any information on SBA or SAM.
Can we get help from an Amazon representative?

Link to instructions FROM Amazon. Looks like whoever owns "SupplierGATEWAY" got in cahoots with Amazon as they are a direct linked and streamlined service for exactly this process...But its gonna cost you $25+! There is another option but look at it... Back to square one (find your own certifying body) and then jump through hoops. Its a scam. But I'll play. No choice.

For the other sellers posting and asking questions on this thread, I just wanted to reiterate a couple of points from the Small Business products FAQ page:
1. What is a Small Business in the Amazon store?
In the US, we follow Gartner's definition of small business (find link on the help page linked above). Small businesses are eligible for this badge if they are registered with Brand Registry or participate in the Handmade program. The specific products that receive the badge are from small business brands and artisans based in the US.
7. I believe my business qualifies, what is the process to confirm that I own a brand-registered Small Business?
You can contact Selling Partner Support, provide the name of your brand and company, business address, and your merchant token ID, and our team will review your eligibility in the program. You can expect a reply within 10 business days from your initial request.
You can also contact Selling Partner Support about renewing your Small Business Badge, just as @Seller_KEE2ARQLz9RyA did.
