Return policy

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone can direct me to where I might find Amazons policies for returns. I’ve looked around but I’m not finding anything that’s at all detailed. I just switched to FBM a few months ago therefore don’t have much experience with handling returns. This is only my third return. My first return I refunded prematurely and the item was not returned. My second return I waited to receive the item but after 1 1/2 weeks the customer hadn’t sent it back yet so I messaged them. They shipped the item the next day and Amazon refunded them before I received the item. Either way, I now have a customer who wants to return a used shampoo because they don’t like it. So I’m looking for return policy information regarding health and beauty items. It’s not like an item that can be resold as used, it has to be trashed. So if anyone can direct me to a detailed return policy that would be great! Especially something for health and beauty.

Thanks!

A customer can return for any reason.

There is no special health & beauty policy.

Some items might not be eligible for return but that doesn’t mean not refundable.

All sellers need to calculate some percentage of loss and price accordingly

Hi @Seller_PlOvQOWRnCAVo,

I'm just coming across your post and wanted to add to the information @Seller_AXC06kcsKI1qG already provided to you. In addition to the FAQ page, I would suggest reviewing the customer facing policies:

We always reference these two pages as a guide for sellers as well so the can ensure they are complying with the policy.

As a note, you'll see "some Health & Personal Care items" listed under items that can't be returned, but this typically does not include beauty items.

I do realize this seems a bit vague, but that is because there isn't a single category or sub-category that can be listed. It is based on the item itself.

Additionally, because of our commitment to our customers, most items are returnable within the policy window to ensure a cohesive experience for all customers.
