Listings mistakenly identified as radioactive and removed.

ID 14880859261

Communication with Amazon support really made me depressed. No matter how hard I tried to prove that sky is blue and grass is green - in the end I have failed.

I created 3 listings with simple bracelets made of shungite stones on a stretch string. Shungite is just a carbon material with little inclusions of quarzite and pyrite.

After some time I've got a policy violation warning, that my bracelets were identified as a products which may potentially contain radioactive material or claims to protect against EMF radiation and that I should provide certification documents from The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

The title and description of the product actually mistakenly contained statement about EMF radiation. I removed it immediately and appealed for reactivation of my listings.

I was trying to explain several times, that it is a well-known fact that shungite is a carbon material like graphite or coal or diamond and it is no more radioactive than pencils, which I'm sure are being sold on Amazon without any NRC certification documents.

I've provided a link to wiki-article.

I've read all Amazon policies and NRC documents and didn't find any restrictions. In case of my mistake (maybe something changed after I've graduated and carbon has become radioactive) I asked to provide me a link to the relevant paragraph in the Amazon policy or NRC regulations, where carbon products are prohibited for selling without NRC certification documents, but support didn't provide.

And to my all these actions to prove, that requirement of providing certification documents from the NRC is not applicable to me, every time I kept getting the same answer: "Identified as potentially radioactive, provide NRC documents". Not even an attempt to explain why obviously non-radioactive material suddenly became radioactive.

What should a seller do in the case, when he can't do nothing against obviously mistaken identification?

Thank you for the information provided regarding the restricted product concerns you have been attempting to resolve. I understand that previously your listings were not compliant, but that you did make edits to the listings. Did you verify that the edits requested were finalized into our system? If the previous information is still reflecting and the listing is not compliant, then our team will reject the documentation.

As for the documents, I understand that you may not have anything from the nuclear regulatory commission, but could you provide some context to what you do have available? If the listings are compliant, then the documents provided need to be able to sufficiently show that the product is not in violation of the policy.

If there are any other details that are relevant to this situation that you would like to share, please continue to refer to this thread for support.

Best,

Atlas

Did you ever get any answers or make progress on this? I'm having the exact same issue on my product I'm trying to list. Thanks in advance for any insight.
