Buyer Returns Misleading Tracking status 'Carrier picked up the package'
I have noticed as soon as a buyer raises a return request a label is raised and Amazon's system defaults to 'Carrier picked up the package' when the carrier has not collected the parcel.
I have taken the statement 'Carrier picked up the package' as true in the past and been denied opportunity to resolve the buyers issue quickly, minimising inconvenience to the buyer and costs to my business.
I don't understand why Amazon mislead sellers, a message similar to 'Awaiting Carrier Collection' would be better.
Has anyone spoken to Amazon about this issue?

there are numerous issues with both the APRL and Refund at First Scan systems.
Amazon don’t care about them.
