The "New Seller" tagline on listings
Hello to all!
Started selling on Amazon (books) in the early 2000s. I passed on my old business to one of my partners and retired to warmer climes in the south. Because I could not stop selling books, I started a new online book business and opened up a new Amazon selling account. Things are going well after the first few months - sales are steady and at a pace I am happy with.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how long the tagline "new seller", on my listings will remain? Is it simply a function of a period of time showing you know how to follow the selling "rules", or are there a number of sales that must be achieved? Or are there other specific metrics that must be met.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I believe (although not 100% sure) that it is linked to feedbacks; it's sort of a placeholder until Amazon can display a count of your feedbacks (ie, you have at least one).
At the rate feedbacks come in these days, it may take a while. :-/

I think that @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw is correct.
Things have changed a LOT in the past 5 years or so making it hard for booksellers of all types.
I would suggest very strongly selling other places as well. In particular, eBay treats sellers much better and is more protective than Amazon would ever dream of being.
Survival of the fittest means diversification these days!
