Creating two Amazon Accounts

I run an Amazon Brand, I would like to create another for a completely separate brand I run in an entirely different niche. Amazon Seller Central have given me the go ahead (as long as our account health remains in the green).

Before I go ahead can I confirm whether anyone here has any experience with having two Amazon Accounts, or if anyone has encountered any issues?

Thanks,

In the past, a separate account also had to have different bank account, and email etc - though they may have changed that - who knows. Try using the search function - there may be info there.

Hey there,

I don't have personal experience with this, but I do know a few friends who manage multiple accounts. Here's what they've shared with me:

  1. Separate Devices: They keep a separate laptop and phone for each account they manage. This helps ensure a clear division between the accounts.
  2. Different Email and Company Details: Each account has its own unique email address and company details. This separation is crucial to avoid any overlap or confusion. Bank details are separate as well. Everything must be separate.
  3. Distinct Niche or Products: They make sure the niche or products they sell are different from what they usually handle. This minimizes any potential conflicts.
  4. IP Address Separation: One of the key aspects is to keep the accounts on separate IP addresses. Some services are available for this purpose, and you can find them online. This helps maintain the independence of each account. (you can ignore this if you have separate device.)
  5. Avoid Shared Wi-Fi: They don't connect any of their devices, including the laptop and phone, to a shared Wi-Fi network. Instead, they use their phone as a hotspot for the laptop to ensure a separate internet connection.
  6. Impact of Issues: It's been mentioned online or on certain platforms that if one account encounters an issue, it may affect the other accounts. However, I cannot personally confirm this, and my friends haven't experienced it either.
  7. Minimizing Risk for High-Value Accounts: If you're running a 7-figure business and want to minimize the risk associated with managing multiple Amazon accounts, one strategy is to use the details of your relatives, partner, or parents to set up new accounts. This can provide an extra layer of separation.

Remember that managing multiple accounts on platforms like Amazon can be a complex endeavor.

Hope this helps!
