Amazon Blocked My Account and is Threatening to Destroy My Inventory Despite Having Proper Documentation!
Hello fellow forum members,
I'm reaching out to share a deeply distressing experience I've had with Amazon's Seller platform, in hopes of gaining some insights and possibly alerting others who might face similar issues.
Recently, Amazon deactivated my seller account due to what they cited as a "policy violation." This came as a shock to me because I have always endeavored to adhere strictly to all of Amazon’s policies. What's even more concerning is that, back in July, I was informed that my Amazon Fulfillment products were under an "authenticity verification" process. This meant that my product listings could be deactivated, and I would be unable to initiate any removal request for the affected inventory. The most unsettling part? If I failed to respond within 30 days, Amazon threatened to destroy my inventory as per their "Policy on the investigation of unsuitable inventory."
Given the gravity of the situation, I promptly provided all the necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my products. Unfortunately, multiple follow-up emails have gone unanswered, and my account remains blocked.
It's essential for everyone here to understand that I've heavily invested in these products, using both personal and borrowed funds. The prospect of Amazon potentially destroying the inventory that I have full legitimate documentation for is both financially and emotionally devastating.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Amazon? If so, how did you manage to resolve it? I'd greatly appreciate any advice, contacts, or shared experiences to navigate this overwhelming situation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to your insights and suggestions.

What documentation had you provided|?

When people say 'I promptly provided all the necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my products' instead of saying 'I provided INVOICES for an authorized wholesaler as well as my letter of authorization' it leaves so many unanswered questions.
Here are the two needed components for the NEW WORLD on Amazon:
The first question is -- Are you authorized IN WRITING by the BRAND to sell their items on Amazon? That means from the BRAND, not some random wholesale source that can NOT authorize anything – they only SELL.
More and more brands have provided a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.
The second (and probably more important) question is -- Where are you sourcing your products? Are you buying direct from the brand or through an AUTHORIZED wholesale source?
It is partly a result of the new laws that have stripped Amazon and other sites of what they had perceived as protection from penalties for allowing counterfeit/stolen merchandise on the site.
Those restrictions will include both RA, Gray market sales, and even used sales in the future because there is no proof of authenticity or chain of custody for either version of those sales models.
Amazon is cleaning house -- FINALLY.
If you do not have the required paperwork your inventory will be destroyed since there is no proof of authenticity.

Hello @Seller_Kmlv,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your account deactivation.
Amazon deactivated my seller account due to what they cited as a "policy violation." This came as a shock to me because I have always endeavored to adhere strictly to all of Amazon’s policies. What's even more concerning is that, back in July, I was informed that my Amazon Fulfillment products were under an "authenticity verification" process.
You mentioned that your account was recently deactivated, and that back in July there seems to have been a concern of authenticity.
This meant that my product listings could be deactivated, and I would be unable to initiate any removal request for the affected inventory. The most unsettling part? If I failed to respond within 30 days, Amazon threatened to destroy my inventory as per their "Policy on the investigation of unsuitable inventory."
Typically, when there are concerns of authenticity, unless you can show proof of authenticity the inventory, and funds related to the inventory may not be released. After a period of time the inventory may be disposed of if we cannot verify authenticity.
I promptly provided all the necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my products. Unfortunately, multiple follow-up emails have gone unanswered, and my account remains blocked.
As mentioned by @NEVERLAST, do you have any type of authorization from the brand to list and use their intellectual properties? Are you sourcing from an authorized distributor or manufacturer for the brand? What documentation did you provide? Did the Invoices reference you as the recipient of the purchased goods, can you see the brand and authorized distributors information on the documentation?
I would recommend reviewing our responsible sourcing documentation request requirement help page, as we offer guidance on our requirements for these documents to be acceptable.
