The Product I'm trying to list already has ASIN, but that ASIN listing is filled with typos, how do I List my inventory
The product I'm trying to list, using its UPC number (850032835084) has already been preconfigured by someone else.
However, they made several mistakes in the listing.
For instance, the product title is incomplete and even has a typo, its says "OATMEAL +COCONUT (OATMEAl)", when it should say "Shugar Soapworks Oatmeal and Coconut Soap 5Oz - Plant Based, Vegan, Natural, Pure, No Dyes, Sulfate & Paraben Free". Also the product is listed as "Brand: Generic", when in fact it should be "Brand: Shugar Soapworks".
How do I get this fixed, or do I have do list my inventory under this sloppy version?
Here is the sloppy listing:

I would definitely recommend not adding an offer on that listing. It is listed as generic, but it isn't since it is a Shugar Soapworks branded product. If you list on it, your account could hit with a complaint later if Amazon catches it.

In addition to Odrade's advice of not listing on that PDP, you'll need to open a case with Seller Support and ask them to cleve the UPC from this generic listing, in order to solve your issue. You can try creating a new listing first but Amazon's system will probably want you to list under this existing PDP.
You'll need to show proof the UPC belongs to the brand Shugar Soapworks and not to generic.
You may want to post your case ID in this thread after opening the case in the event a Community Manager needs to escalate it to the proper internal team.
Here's another thread similar to your situation
Hope you can get this resolved!

Thanks for the post on this @Seller_JGIk6DqWzAYPUand for the solid guidance @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD& @Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQ- you love to see it!
Let me know how your case is going with support if you did create one to or if you have any other questions around the Generic Product policy!
Thanks,
Danny

Great to hear! Count yourself lucky you were triumphant in getting this fixed.
Seller Support is trained to do only what you've specifically asked them to do, if they're able to even accomplish that.
This is pretty much the way it has always been. The catalog has been a mess for years because Amazon used to let anyone with a heartbeat create an account and create listings. There was really no vetting as there is now. Now we deal with the aftermath.
I hope the cleave is likewise successful!

Glad this is resolved.
Once a UPC/EAN is linked to a ASIN there is not much seller support can do; especially with Title (possibly more options for correction on product details). You can open a case to have the product detail page removed but that doesn't always free up your UPC/EAN. If this were to happen again your best path forward is to apply for catalogue authorization with the brand (unlikely) or request directly to the brad to make the appropiate changes.
Be wary of "Brand: Generic" if you're selling a legitimate brand - more times than not the brand never authorized the product to be sold on Amazon and you're opening yourself up to IP claims.

It is also in the wrong category "Grocery & Gourmet Food". You might want to work on that as well after you get the brand name. Best of luck.
