Puerto Rico Sale
Hello, I'm in the US and a buyer from Puerto Rico purchased my item so I am wondering if there is anything additional I need to do.
For example, I read about needing to alert consumers to their responsibility for use tax and also needing to send a report to the territory detailing all online or mail order sales within Puerto Rico. I also read that any online marketing qualifies you for physical nexus therefore I'd need to get a sales tax permit. These weren't from any official sites so I'm not sure how true they are. I tried visiting Puerto Rico's official sites for information but they are in Spanish and google translate doesn't do the best job. If anyone has insight or a similar experience please share.
Thank you.

Puerto Rico is serviced as part of the United States postal service and as a US territory, and you don't have to worry about any of the stuff you stated.

As stated above, Puerto Rico is a US territory, and you will have no troubles shipping through USPS. But even if it is something eligible for Media Mail, you should not use such a slow service.
Just as a warning: I don't use Amazon buy shipping but I know that Amazon system used to be troubled with identifying Puerto Rican orders as international. It may be that you will need to buy shipping elsewhere (PirateShip, etc)

Many of my competitors refuse to sell to PR so I get the business.
The ONLY issue might be having to play with the addresses.
Years ago the postal system on the island would have neighborhoods for the route people to find the correct places.
They have now gone to the US street and number system universally (almost) but many people are stuck in the 1970's and still give you the old address along with the new street number.
You may have to move some things around a bit --
URBRIVERAS DE BUCANA
25XX CALLE FL$%$
will work but if the URBRIVERAS DE BUCANA is on the last line (before the city and PR, Zip Code) it will not (in my experience having dealt with a few hundred packages over the past 15 or 20 years.)
I have witnessed people miss planes going to their cruise ship because they were in the 'International Travel' gate instead of where they belonged -- DOMESTIC!
It was pretty funny and I didn't feel one bit sorry that they missed their cruise.
