Account level reserve growing/$0 Net proceeds

I've been selling on Amazon for over 6 years with Brand Registered Products. I was expecting my regular payment on Oct 2nd and suddenly the net proceeds changed to $0 and my Account level reserve was set at over $17,000. Amazon paid themselves all their expenses and advertising (over $13,000). Now when I look at the account the new period due for 17th Oct I'm seeing again Net Proceeds $0, Beginning Balance $17,700 and Account Level Reserve $20,138.

I've no chargebacks or claims and my account health is in good order. I had opened a case (13980908551) and after the usual cut and paste response and saying they were glad the could solve my problem (which they didn't), I replied and the case was transferred . Nothing since then.

I was supposed to pay suppliers this week and now I am screwed with no cash-flow to make payments promised. Thanks Amazon. I am worried that the next payment cycle will be a repeat performance on non-payment. Not a great way to treat a seller in good standing without any communication. Is this a glitch or are Amazon just trying to have their end of 3rd quarter numbers look good for shareholders? I'm also a shareholder.

How long does this take to get resolved?

account level reserves are interest free "loans" Amazon takes from sellers whenever they want. I'd bet there is some sort of law, somewhere, that says when you hold someones funds you owe them interest....especially when you hold it without proper cause and frequently, for multiple months....

But you know...for the time being they are Gods...or so they think

Hello @Seller_GDKePtFy3qjdI

Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums and providing that case ID number.

It is a normal part of selling on Amazon to see funds in the Account level reserve section of the Statement View tab on your Payments report. This is the amount of money that is reserved to ensure that you have enough funds to fulfill any financial obligations, such as refunds, claims, or chargebacks.

I am looking into your case now and will respond with any findings shortly.

Regards,

Quincy_Amazon

Same is happening to us. I'll bet Amazon is setting themselves up for a settlement with the FTC and using the interest from Account level reserves to do so.

Same exact issue on since july. 0 proceeds, tons of level reserve.

Go into account information and make sure every bit is verified. I noticed during all those account verifications a while back that some of it didn't trigger a banner on the dashboard or anywhere else. I actually had to go in several layers to actually find a link to verify some things.

I don't know that this would be the case but if for some reason the bank account or phone number or address became unverified, they might stop payouts until you fix it. The fact that they can't be bothered to tell you why or what the problem is really sucks.

Good Luck sorting it out.

Just like with most things on Amazon for 3rd party sellers, NO TRANSPARANCY or explanation or communication. Account Health. Suspensions. Feedback. Payments. All the same here.

I had that happen to me, it took 5 months to resolve.

Apparently we had a TRO issued on our account. as the payments department finally reported.

A big law firm was suing about 200 people for using protected artist's images and somehow (Amazon) included our account (email address) to the list of those.

Mind you we re-sell brand bags, wallets, jewelry and do not create merchandise using imaging.

We also were not on the Defendants list, but the TRO somehow kicked in for our account as well ( because Amazon had included us)

They do not respond and the law firm does not.

I had to hire legal counsel to represent me to resolve the situation.

The money held was about $78000 and the Judgement was for $100,000, so it gets taken out of your account as soon as accumulates, due to the TRO and judjment despite I am not being a defendant but since I am on that list of people with money held.

It is insane and cost me $3200, but the TRO was lifted by Amazon after my attorney wrote an official letter the the Payments Department and explained.

Needless to say there was no apology.

Good Luck to you, but get this handled sooner than later

Write to the Payment's Department.
