Brand name

Hi,

I am new to Amazon seller.I can not understand how putting a brand name to products work.I found a product that is generally available everywhere but on Amazon exactly the same product is available from different sellers but under different brand name/manufacture.Can someone please explain it to me in the simplest way possible?

A branded item should be listed as the brand it is. Some sellers do not do that for various reasons, though it is against Amazon policy.

Amazon created what they called Brand Registry, which in simple terms means anyone can buy generic items, and call them by their own made-up brand name. It has even happened to well known brands of items where they are being sold under a made-up brand name.

In my opinion it was not Amazon's best idea !!
