Applying GTIN exemption
Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of applying for a GTIN exemption, and when I attempt to apply, it only provides an option stating that the branding on our product or packaging must match "Vespera Inc." exactly. However, "Vespera Inc." is our company name, not our brand name. Our brand is "Hermosa," and I have already registered "Hermosa" with Amazon Brand Registry.
I opened a case (Case ID 16188830861) to address this issue, but I keep getting the same response from Seller Support:
"I understand you are concerned about 5665 error where you are unable to add a product.
We have identified that the brand you are attempting to list with is already registered or approved on Amazon.
If your products belong to a brand already on Amazon, please use the exact brand value while creating the listing.
Note that there should be no spelling error or extra spaces in prefix, suffix, or in between the brand value entered while listing the creation.
If you are still facing the 5665 error, you must provide the latest screenshot of the error code 5665 with the brand name and time stamp visible in the background for further investigation.
Note: As per the provided product/package images, we find that the Brand does not qualify for a GTIN exemption."
The problem is, I’m not facing the 5665 error at all. The issue is with the GTIN exemption application incorrectly insisting that the branding should match "Vespera Inc." instead of "Hermosa."
This has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel like I’m stuck in a loop with no clear resolution. Has anyone else experienced something similar or found a way to get past this?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone,
As of today, 9/30, I attempted to apply for a GTIN exemption again, and I received the following message:
"UPC Exemption Not Approved: To list Hermosa products, you need to provide a valid product ID. Please enter the product's GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN to continue listing."
This message does not seem to make sense, as according to Amazon's guidance, our account should be eligible to apply for a GTIN exemption. Our brand "Hermosa" is registered with Amazon Brand Registry, and all of our products are our own private label, so we should not be required to provide a product ID.
Please find the attached screenshot for reference. Has anyone else faced this issue, or is there a specific resolution for this kind of problem?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
