Need Help: Healing Crystals Misclassified as Fine Jewelry After Description Update
Hello fellow sellers,
I’m reaching out to the community for some advice and to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue. We sell healing crystals categorized under health and care, but we've run into a recurring problem where our products are being misclassified as fine jewelry on Amazon.
Here's a brief rundown of the situation:
- A few months ago, we resolved an issue where our products were incorrectly requiring fine jewelry approval. After the initial fix we had issues with a 8541 error. This was all fixed, and we thought the matter was settled.
- Recently, we updated our product descriptions to add "Amethyst" to the 'gem type' field, which was previously empty. This change was intended to better describe the type of healing crystals we offer.
- Suddenly, all affected listings became inactive with a notification that we need to submit an application for selling fine jewelry. This categorization is incorrect as our products are not precious gemstones.
We’ve already reached out to Amazon support but only received a generic response about applying for fine jewelry selling approval.
Has anyone here faced a similar categorization issue, especially after editing product details? Any tips on how to expediently resolve this with Amazon. I'm particularly interested in hearing from those who might have had success in getting a swift resolution from the category team or those who have navigated the fine jewelry classification mistakenly. My inventory is now marked as stranded so I need a quick solution.
Thank you in advance for your help and looking forward to your insights!
