Sending Oversized Products to Amazon FBA
What are my options in sending in oversized product inventory to Amazon FBA facilities? The dimension of my product is 110x100x30 inches.
I'd like to ship them on pallets but from what I understand, the maximum pallet dimensions are 40x48x72 inches.
Thanks!

Hey @Seller_GoMDFPrP7JaTe, I was able to find a contact to confirm and greatly appreciate your patience. Based on your dim and weight this should be able to be sent to heavy-bulky stabilized on a 72"x40' pallet (or 96" x 48", if needed for some reason). If you have any "heavy" stickers like airports or other warehouses do I don't see harm in labeling as such but that's a known quantity when going into those channels already. I don't have any knowledge or expertise on the carrier side specifically but once you align that you should be good to go!

Yes, my package size is 54"x24"x4" and weight 38lbs.

Thanks @Seller_pPjVeGoDrVnxh, based on the Extra-large FBA inventory guidelines your dims should only meet the Oversize criteria and not Extra-large, given the weight under 50 lbs, but I'm checking on the palletization question. Do you have the ability to shrink wrap onto a standard pallet to stabilize and keep the item movable by pallet jack?
Seller_pPjVeGoDrVnxh
It will be hard to stabilize, since package height is only 4". That was the reason we have not send to Amazon fulfillment center. We are hoping to find some answer here.

Understood, thanks for the update, still working to confirm!

@Seller_pPjVeGoDrVnxh, thank you for your patience as well! Similar to the reply above, your dims should be good to fit on that 72" x 40" pallet without overhanging. Tag me as needed if more questions arise in the future!

Maybe you can help me. I am a new seller on Amazon and would like to send an item into FBA but overhangs a 48" pallet by a couple inches. Can you let me know if a standard pallet would work. Here is the deminsions of the box and it has to lay on its 50.6" side. 50.6" L x 10.8" W x 16.9" H and weighs 60lbs. Any help you could give me would be great. thanks

Hi @Seller_05fTZfOrr53Ex, is the product able to be shrink wrapped/stabilized on a 48 inch pallet with the overhang while forks and/or a pallet jack can still comfortably fit and maneuver the product?
Seller_05fTZfOrr53Ex
Thanks for the quick reply. yes the item can be shrinkwrapped and stabilized on a 48" pallet with a very tiny overhang and can easily be moved by pallet jack. Would it better to just put it on a 51" skid or just let if overhang a 48" pallet? I thought I read that if does not fit to use a size pallet that it does fit. I did not figure a 2.5" overhang would be a big issue if it was shrink wrapped and stable but just wanted to make sure or just put it on a 51" special made pallet. thanks

I'd recommend checking with your LTL carrier given most "spots" on trailers are typically booked based on the footprint and not accounting for overhang. Otherwise, if they aren't comfortable with overhang, based on my experience it may be more efficient to ship on a 72' pallet rather than custom-building one to your exact specs (51").
