Is anyone else having an insanely slow month so far?

I know, another obligatory slow sales post. We all get tired of these. But at this point I am very curious about whether it is just us, or if everyone is seeing a significant drop in internet sales this February. Has anyone had any luck finding a solution? It isn't just Amazon either. I am slow on all of my venues. Is anyone else having this problem? Any advice for me that doesn't include spending a small fortune on Amazon advertising?

Every product, category and niche is different but we are doing okay.

February is the worst month of the year historically for us.

Blue is 24, Yellow is 23

I don't advertise since my margins are small and I compete against Amazon on almost everything.

In general sales are slower than they have been in a while. I'm down between 6% and 7% for the year to date at this point.

Spending time adding items to other sites that are more seller friendly!

I did see the Amazon 'recommendations' that involve me converting to FBA for these ASINs.

What's interesting is that AMAZON is already on those and the ASIN is down that much. What possible advantage FOR ME is there to adding more fees on tight margin items? OH WAIT -- that's right Amazon gets more money!

January was around 24% below 1/23. February I'm matching 2/24. Now sales will likely fall off a cliff for the rest of the month lol! Not just you though. This part of the year is rough stuff and this year more so.

Same here. Selling books in December and January was insanely great. Now down to a trickle. Thought it was because I recently raised my shipping rates slightly, but maybe not.

The first half of February is slower than the second half historically for many sellers unless they have Valentine items for sale. But the month overall is good for us past years.

It will be an interesting year with the coming bank failures and non-bank lender failures coming due to almost a trillion $ in commercial real estate loans due this year (and many are already bad loans but were kept off balance sheets as such by extended terms). This all from the huge loss of value in offices and motels/hotels and malls.

Same situation here. But it's normal due to the up and down sales in one year.

That's what we do in the sales down time, hope it's can help you:

1. Take it easy, wait for the sales up. Save your money and spending more on Advertising in the sales up time.

2. Hurry up to develop new products which you consider will be more suitable for the customers.

3. Spend more time with the family, enough time, huh.

Good luck.

We are the same. Had a great January but February has fallen by around 90%. No idea what is going on. Normally spring is a good time for us but it gets very quiet at the height of summer.

Sooo Sloow with crap load of more high pricing errors which if you do not lower item to the price Amazon has fixed the item at usually with zero data they are just forcing you to mark it down or have no sales it will get even slower so take advantage of slowness and dont keep all your eggs in one basket!.

IF YOUR LISTINGS BUY BOX BUTTON IS REMOVED IT IS PRICE SUPPRESSED AND LIKELY WILL NEVER SELL DOUBLE CHECK LISTINGS AND DECIDE IF PRICE FIXING BY AMAZON IS OK OR CHANGE MARKET IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE SALES.
