Unfortunately sales are not like they use to be, even for the long time sellers. It's becoming more evident that Amazon has made changes on the back end that is affecting sales.
I have stopped listing new items on Amazon. When I sell out, I'm done. I have been waiting for months for things to pick up and nothing has changed, all I get is sprinkles.

In my opinion it’s the search that’s tanking a lot of sellers that aren’t doing FBA. If I don’t run ads and pay really good money for each click I’m not being found. The sort by “relevancy” has been removed and replaced with “featured” and as you can probably guess that means paid ads and FBA items. Doesn’t even have to be in relation to what a buyer is searching for. I myself as also a buyer am struggling to find stuff when I’m searching and have honestly given up and am now buying elsewhere. Unless it’s an item I’ve previously bought it’s too much of a pain to sort through a bunch of non relevant items when searching for something. One of my best sellers for years never dropped below rank 5 in its category and now I’m lucky if I get it to 8 and that’s with a bunch of paid ads. If I don’t do ads, this item is searching pages away because of no relevant products showing up first.

I guess this would explain why most of my sprinkles (sells) are low ballers (items I was practically forced to lower in order to sell here).

Experiencing a significant decline as well. It seems this holiday Amazon has largely segmented pages into 3 buying areas - buy box, another box that only has FBA offers, and buried WAY down on bottom right is the "other sellers" box. If you are FBM, the likelihood of a buyer even seeing that third box is slim. Amazon has designed the pages to maximize their profit and to minimize the chances a customer buys from FBM, even if that is a lower price or better quality.

Chinese sellers have taken over every platform and now there's Temu. I used to do close to a million/year on here and now I'm down to a piddly $300k. Why? Chinese sellers. They're putting me and countless other small business owners out of business. Amazon welcomes them with open arms. They don't care about US small business owners. I never had any issues with anything here until the Chinese sellers came along.

Same here. I would estimate our sales have dropped about that much on all platforms. It is quite frightening. This time last year we were getting about 10 orders a day. This year I'm lucky if we get 3. I find it very mildly comforting that it isn't just us.

I'm hoping I can bring a little luck to my fellow sellers!
My sales were down 30% on amazon this November from last Nov. but I had no sales last year on amazon between Nov. 29-DEC. 1 and my sales have exploded the last 3 days. I sold a signed Nelson cd today for $40; Nelson, the hair pop duo sons of Rick(y) Nelson; not Ricky or Willie LOL! Lord, it's amazing what people will throw good money at; there's a Jonas Brother's one that sales like hotcakes like this when you get it LOL!
Anyways, I'm feeling more optimistic and much better personally after sleeping very well for several days now.
I hope things finally pick up for everyone else and makes up substantially for this truly astonishingly slow 4thQ so far!

Check the seasonality of the product.
Most of the sellers complain but dont optimise their products often. You should Change your keywords every three months. Check your campaigns.
Add new keywords that have low competition. Redesign your main Image and a/b test it.
Do these things and let me know if they improved anything.
