Hello,
I'm reaching out for clarification and support regarding a referral fee categorization issue I recently encountered.
I sell shungite stone pyramids, which are typically classified under the Home & Kitchen category. Historically, my listings were charged referral fees according to this category, which aligns with how similar products (including competitor listings) are treated.
However, I recently noticed that some of my pyramid listings — despite being correctly placed in the Home & Kitchen category — are now being charged referral fees as if they belong to the Jewelry category. This leads to a significantly higher fee percentage. I reached out to Seller Support to inquire about the discrepancy, but the response stated that no error had occurred.
I believe this is a misclassification, as these items are not jewelry, nor are they made from precious metals or stones. Furthermore, a quick review of similar listings from other sellers confirms that they are being charged fees consistent with the Home & Kitchen category.
Has anyone else experienced this issue recently? If so, were you able to get it resolved? And to the Amazon team, could someone please assist in correcting the referral fee category to accurately reflect the nature of the product?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
