Amazon’s refund commission and easy ship fees are very high, making it difficult for sellers to make a profit. For example, if a product sells for 599, Amazon refunds the customer 599 but charges the seller 95 + 17.10(tax) for the refund commission and an easy ship fee of 74 +13.32(tax). This means that Amazon charges the seller 169 + 30.42(tax), or 199.42 in total. This represents a 33.3% selling fee, even though the product was never actually sold.

Correct, I am against these fees since day 1 when it introduces.

This refund fee is applicable if order was cancelled by seller. In case of return, only easy ship fee is chargeable.

Agree. I sell an educational book on Amazon for the same price. Amazon policy for books is only replacement. So the buyer,if he does’nt want my book can only ask for a replacement, stating bad reviews like damaged book,used book etc, I end up sending the replacement, which is again rejected by the buyer. He is refunded fully while i lose the shipping and fees for both the books which are then returned to me and i have to wait for their return endlessly, in order to raise safe-T claim if its only damaged.

I’m also facing the same issue, Amazon without intimating me issues refunds to the customer and our items are non returnable. Customer says that quality is very poor, I want to ask amazon that who is here who is deciding the norms of Quality? More than 40% customers keeps the products(due to non returnable in nature) and then amazon without asking us issues refund. for a 499 product, I’m suffering around 1000 rupees loss, The product cost, shipping fees, amazon commission and total amount refunded. So this total accumulates around 1000 Rupees. Customers are so pathetic. I’ll shut down my amazon account if this situation prevails cz i can’t bear losses as i’m building my brand from scratch.

also they are taking 21% refferel fee on tshirts and 23
% on shorts .
these are too high also customer will get cheap quality because of these high commission
