Appeal for Account Reinstatement and Release of Funds
Dear Amazon Seller Performance Team,
I am writing to respectfully request a review of my account, which was deactivated on July 27, 2024, due to allegations of deceptive or fraudulent activity. I understand and fully support Amazon’s dedication to maintaining a safe marketplace, and I want to clarify my commitment to complete transparency and adherence to all policies.
As a small business owner, I initially launched my Amazon account in March 2023 to sell car stickers and decals, with my first sales beginning in September. Following six months of consistent sales and savings, I took steps to scale my business by registering my business in the United States and upgrading my account to a business account. In July 2024, I expanded to a resale business model, purchasing stock directly from a reputable brand and their authorized master distributor, and sending this inventory to Amazon's warehouses for fulfillment. Since the beginning, I have used Amazon FBA exclusively, entrusting Amazon with storage, fulfillment, and shipping to customers.
Upon receiving the deactivation notification, I carefully reviewed my account information to ensure compliance. During this process, I discovered my passport on file had expired, and I immediately updated it. I submitted my identity verification and completed the Amazon Consumer Act verifications, which included verification of my phone number, business address, personal address, and bank account, as required by Amazon. Despite these updates, my account remained deactivated, and my appeal was denied.
Furthermore, after a 90-day period, I appealed for the disbursement of my account funds. I was informed that an additional identity verification interview would be required. During this interview, due to an unforeseen technical issue, the officer's microphone connection failed, causing the call to disconnect. I was unable to reconnect to complete the verification, and shortly after, I received an email notifying me that the interview was unsuccessful.
I want to emphasize that at no point have I engaged in any activity that would compromise Amazon’s marketplace integrity. My account information, transactions, and inventory are fully legitimate, and I am more than willing to provide any further documentation or participate in additional interviews to clarify any misunderstandings.
I rely entirely on the funds generated by this Amazon account, which I have grown using personal savings from other ventures. I kindly request your support in reinstating my account and disbursing the funds withheld, as these funds are crucial to my continued business operations.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and understanding. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information to support my appeal.
Sincerely,
Adnan Khaliq

Hello @Seller_YyTbLU8a7SyI9,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your account deactivation and funds.
I would ask that you post the original deactivation notice in its entirety so I can offer more guidance on the situation. Surrounding the funds and concern of potential of "deceptive or fraudulent activity", funds may not be eligible for release per our funds withholding policy. This would require the original issue to be addressed prior to their release.
As a small business owner, I initially launched my Amazon account in March 2023 to sell car stickers and decals, with my first sales beginning in September. Following six months of consistent sales and savings, I took steps to scale my business by registering my business in the United States and upgrading my account to a business account. You mentioned you had changed you model to include products being sourced from authorized distributors. This in most situations would require that you are an authorized distributor who has been approved by the brand. Do you have a letter of authorization from the brand? Did you source these through a retail website as a consumer and received an order confirmation or receipt? Were these sourced through a wholesale method, providing invoices that would meet our requirements to verify they were sourced appropriately?
If these were sourced through retail methods, the distributor your sourced them from may be authorized, but they themselves are rarely eligible to cascade this approval to you.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Emet.
