Copy of GTIN letter by owner of brand
Hi,
I have been involved with a problem for some weeks, and Amazon Selling Partner Support could not help me it seems bot responded to me. Has someone an example of a copy of the GTIN letter by the owner of the brand?
I received an email from Amazon this email ''UPC or EAN or ISBN or JAN along with GS1 certificate
Non-brand owners: A copy of a letter/email from the manufacturer or brand stating that the UPC or EAN or ISBN or JAN you are using to list this product is valid
Brand owner: Valid and current (not expired) GS1 certificate for the GTIN range(s) used by your listings'' to give them.
I just ordered by Alibaba product without the brand name and I used an option without a brand name when I listed my product.
Amazon is really a disaster and tough to sell a simple product on Amazon, if I did not send my product to the Amazon warehouse, I would definitely cancel the sale on Amazon because of unnecessary strictness.

That makes the successs of Amazon. The customers know that whatever they buy from Amazon needs certifications, test and is authentic.

First, if you are buying from Ali#@## and listing against a BRAND NAMED item which is what it sounds like, consider yourself lucky you have not been suspended.
If you mean that you created an ASIN and used 'generic' in the 'brand' when you say ' I used an option without a brand name when I listed my product. ' what did you put in for the product identifier?
Amazon is actively searching their data base for UPC numbers that are a 'mismatch' where people purchased the codes from secondary sources rather than GS1. Unless you have a GS1 number that you bought your name and the owner at GS1 will not match.
There have been a number of brands removed from Brand Registry because of this as well.
Unless your product has a GS1 number (or an 'exemption' granted) the odds are that it will eventually be removed as well.
The reason that Amazon is a 'mess' is because Amazon has allowed the site to be invaded by countless thousands of unauthorized sellers over the past couple decades.
Amazon, to excise the disease (unauthorized sellers), is simply killing all the sellers other than whoever the BRANDS are going to favor with letters of authorization.
Expect more of this and it is partly a result of the new laws that have stripped Amazon and other sites of what they had perceived as protection from penalties for allowing counterfeit/stolen merchandise on the site.
Those restrictions will include both RA, Gray market sales, and even used sales in the future because there is no proof of authenticity or chain of custody for either version of those sales models.
Amazon is cleaning house and a lot of people selling currently are likely to be swept out the door going forward.

Hi @Seller_WZjPfcJstfK88, you mentioned that you're working with Seller Support on this, can you let me know that case ID? In the meantime, this help section on product ID listing requirements is worth reading through.
