Best shipping method to avoid tracking defects

Hi all, I send all my small and light by Royal Mail 48. But am getting low ratings on tracking from Amazon. Even though I enter all details from Royal Mail. This is because Royal Mail are not scanning some parcels on delivery.

I had a read of the rules, and it says for any sales over £5 seller must use shipping method with at least two scan points. Well, RM48 only scans on delivery. So does this mean for anything over £5 I am going to have to use RM 48 TRACKED instead? Because this is going to get costly. Surely I can send Royal Mail standard 48?

Can I have some recommendations please? Are people using Evri instead for low value sales, because they scan twice, i think? But I see them as a dodgy courier still 😂

I don't know where you got the below from but it is incorrect. I suspect you may have been looking at the rules for Chinese Sellers.

You don't need two scan points. A single scan point is fine.

Assuming you are in the UK and you are posting by RM48 and entering all the details on Amazon either manually or via Click and Drop then you are okay.

With those that Royal Mail do not scan on delivery then Amazon somehow validate that these are okay and whilst they don't add it to your VTR they do take it into account before you are suspended from a category.

I send mostly via RM48 and my VTR is around the 70% mark...I have never had a problem or category suspension. I get the odd email from Amazon telling me I have a low VTR which gets ignored as I am doing everything right.

I am fairly impressed you got a 84% VTR using RM48 to be honest that is a fairly good rate!

To note if you use Amazon Buy Shipping rather than buying your postage outside of Amazon then it won't impact your VTR if Royal Mail fail to scan a parcel on delivery.

To confirm - the two scan rules for items under £5 are for sellers located in China.

What you are doing is fine.

Ah thanks for the replies, that has put my mind at ease!

I use Packing Partner, so do get my postage outside of Amazon. It is much quicker for me.
