Child listing removed from Parent to become its own

I removed a listing (formerly a child listing) to create it as a parent listing.

It is the exact same product, which Amazon FBA already has inventory of.

The new listing shows inactive due to being out of stock.

Any experience with this process? How do we proceed to transfer that inventory from the previous child/variation listing to the new parent listing?

Thank you!!

I think there is some confusion here. A parent listing is not a product for sale and exists to create the variation group. If you were wanting to put this child listing in a different variation group, then a separate, new parent listing should have been created.

The inventory that you send to FBA is tied to the SKU that you sent it in under, and FBA won't transfer/relabel it to be a different one. If you need to do this, you will have recall the inventory, relabel it, and send it back in under the new SKU.
