Why Is the Handmade Integrity Team Reviewing My Appeal for a Non-Handmade Product?

Hi everyone,

I recently submitted an appeal for a listing issue, but my case was unexpectedly assigned to the Handmade Integrity Team, even though my product is not a handmade item and was never listed in the Handmade category.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m trying to understand why my appeal is being reviewed by this team when my product has nothing to do with Handmade. Could this be a misclassification issue on Amazon’s end?

Some details about my case:

img

The product was listed under a regular (non-handmade) category.

I never applied for or registered under Amazon Handmade.

My appeal was related to a different issue (e.g., listing removal, policy violation, etc.).

Amazon’s response specifically mentioned the Handmade Integrity Team reviewing my case.

I’m concerned that this may slow down the appeal process or lead to unnecessary complications. If anyone has insights on why this might be happening or how to redirect my case to the appropriate team, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Did you find a resolution I'm dealing with a very similar issue in that suddenly the Handmade Integrity Team is involved when my product is not handmade.
