Amazon Renewed to Refurbished Change taking away PPC from Refurbished????????
We are a low 8 figure Renewed - Electronics (Computers&Accessories), we sell a huge range of computers/accs on Amazon.
I regularly create "New" Renewed ASINs never before sold/tied to a Brand New product. We spend/have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in PPC and launching these ASINs.
Now that they will be classified as "Refurbished" Amazon is saying you can no longer advertise them, WHY? Not to mention, how about all the ad/ppc spend I've already used and now that will simply SHUT OFF after working for months/years ranking them.
We definitely are not alone in the Computers category either, this will destroy Refurbished sales on the Computers side because you must always be launching new ASIN as Computers are refreshed with new configuration/model roughly once per year for each manufacturer.
Amazon auto generated New ASIN are extremely limited and don't cover nearly what is available on the Computers side, launching ASINS in the Refurbished category will be CRITICAL going forward as it will be impossible to launch Refurbished - New ASINs as they'll be dead in the water as any new to Amazon product would be at launch without PPC.
If i had to guess, if we actually cannot use PPC on Refurbished stand alone ASINs (Not tied to a new ASIN in any way) our business will be cut in half, or more for 2025.

Thanks for the post. I understand your concerns and hopefully the guidance below will help.
What should I do once this change goes into effect?
New listings for Renewed products: If an ASIN for an equivalent new product already exists in our catalog, simply add your offer to that ASIN using “Refurbished” for both the condition and sub-condition. If you can’t find an equivalent ASIN, create one on the List Your Products page and add your Renewed offer using “Refurbished” for both the condition and sub-condition. Don’t use the “(Renewed)” suffix when creating new ASINs.
Existing Renewed listings: We’ll automatically migrate and merge affected offers, so you won’t have to do this manually. This includes moving existing refurbished offers under equivalent new ASINs, if present, and updating the condition in our internal system from new to refurbished. You can find merged offers on Manage Inventory under the “Refurbished” condition. You can also refer to the Renewed dashboard.
Monitor your listings: During this transition, we encourage you to monitor your listings more frequently so you can quickly identify and resolve potential issues that may arise during the roll-out. If you have questions, please reach out to your dedicated account team or Selling Partner Support.
