FedEx Adjustment Fees
I have been charged Adjustment fees by FedEx and I keep asking for support, but Amazon sends the same reply every time.
Upon investigating, our internal team found that the weight and dimensions you entered for this order was 20 X 8 X 4 IN | Weight: 224 OZ and the carrier audited weight for this item is 20 X 8 X 4 IN | Weight: 14 LB. You were charged for the difference in package weight and dimensions.
What's really strange is in their reply they're stating that the dimensions and weight MATCH the audited dimensions and weight, but that I was charged for the difference. If they match, why is there a difference?
I've also sent a spreadsheet (per their request) with several orders that have had label adjustments and they completely ignore the other items.
How do I get help? I feel like I'm stuck in a loop!

The majority of fedex ground are franchise locations that may have additional fees for everything including delivery. Where we are there is no local franchise and anything they pick up or drop off here has an extra $10 fee, They also only come in our direction many once a week at best and have had incoming packages delayed "until there's enough business to justifying sending a truck to that area." fedex express and international are part of corporate fedex and have much better service.

There is a bug within Amazon/FedEx right now where what they report as the carrier audited dimensions are incorrect and just put in what the original dimensions were. To find what what FedEx actually audited the dimensions to be, go to the FedEx website and track the shipment and look at what that shows the dimensions to be. If FedEx audited it and changed the dimensions, it will show there.

How much are the fees?

This is an ongoing problem and not a glitch, the carrier can now basically charge you whatever they please and you are left holding the bag.
Amazon will be no help and the carrier will direct you back to Amazon in an endless loop. There is no current appeal path.
Neither Amazon or the carrier will take responsibility, this is rampant and costing sellers thousands. The carriers are committing fraud and Amazon is complacent to it

Where did you find this ADJUSTMENT FEE?

Hello @Seller_7h8fwI9GjeZWh You were provided accurate information by @Seller_DdmPiA1p1S2Wu.
There has been confusion over adjustments for shipments with matching carrier-audited and seller-entered dimensions and weights. In some cases, Seller Central is not displaying updated carrier-audited information. For FedEx, the online tracking for these shipments will show updated dimensions and weights. We are investigating the issue.
If a label was purchased with package dimensions under 2200 cubic inches and 50 pounds but the carrier-audited dimensions/weights were larger, the package no longer qualified for One Rate and a higher rate was applied.
If you review those FedEx updates and believe they were incorrect, please share the Case ID with me so I can review and determine if there is a path for escalation.

We quit using FedEx several Years ago. The business model is to up-charge, even when weight and dimensions are correct. They will continue to get away with this until there is legal action from the FTC or a Class-Action attorney.
There is really no recourse as Fedex is big, we are small, they cheat, we lose.

Welcome to the hood !!!
We the sellers must do something against this fraud.
If we don't, they will waste our time by saying some sort of sentences like " transfer cases to internal team, escalate your cases, investigate your cases, ... " then put our cases on eternal wait time until we gave up.

If you have your own FedEx account (with your own account number) you can go on the FedEx website directly and if there is an error you can dispute the issue from there.
I had one where the item was only supposed to be approx $65 in shipping but since FedEx changed the dimensions from 20x8x6 to 20x8x66 which resulted in a $1600 adjustment on my account.
Eventually I had to get my FedEx account rep involved to get it cleared up and credited back to my account.

Another reason I do not use FedEx and only use UPS when it is easier......99% of my orders are sent by USPS. Adjustments, if any, may be .40 tp $2.00, if i have entered a weight wrong. It is usually something that i say weighs 12 ounces, and they say 12.1 ounces.....minor crap, still aggravating......
