Change from Manufacturer Barcode to Amazon Barcode

Hi-

I am trying to create a shipment plan for my Amazon listing. This is a private label product - only I am selling this.

When I create the shipment plan it says: "No labeling required: This SKU uses manufacturer barcodes for tracking amazon label private label"

I have updated the settings in my account to default to Amazon label and waited 24 hours. I have also deleted existing workflows in the shipment plan process. It is still showing the same statement: "No labeling required..."

I am not able to delete the listing and relist - all of my products have been labeled with the FNSKU. Could you please advise on how I can get these products switched to the Amazon label?

Thank you!

If you already labeled the products, I don't know if there is a way around having to relabel them. The way I understand it, the label preference is saved on a SKU level when it is created, so if you had your barcode preference set to manufacturer's barcode when you created the SKU, that stuck to that setting. To be able to use an Amazon barcode, you have to change that setting, and then create a new SKU for that ASIN. You can easily do that by clicking the down arrow next to the Edit button in Manage Inventory and selecting Add Another Condition. A new SKU does mean a new FNSKU, which does mean that you will have to relabel.

Just curious, do the labels you already put on the product start with an X or a B?

Hi @Seller_z5yMO11fMgar0, I realize I am late here and I apologize.

You would need to create a new listing. You can find the steps outlined here: Change to Amazon barcode by creating a new product offer

Create a new product offer for each affected ASIN and select the Amazon barcode setting:

  • On the Manage FBA Inventory page, search for the affected ASIN.
  • To the right of the ASIN, click the Edit dropdown and select Add another condition.
  • On the offer creation page, enter a new Seller SKU, fill out the remaining required fields, and click Save and finish. Note: You may select the same item condition as your existing offer.
  • On the Choose Barcode Type page, select Amazon barcode and click Save & Continue.
