Sales Down, Showing I have featured offer but not really
I have a handful of listings that show I have the featured offer but when I check the actual page, it is not showing me as the featured offer. My prices are definitely more competitive and lower than Amazon's but they are still shown as the offer.

It varies depending on the postal code entered on the retail site.

If you want to win the buy box everywhere, you'd have to be the cheapest and have the fastest shipping, if not, it's going to be awarded to other sellers.

Hello @Seller_l07ALaZxcsIZI,
Michelle at Amazon here! The featured offer goes off many factors and you can read how to increase your chances of winning the featured offer here.

Michelle

On the manage inventory page, make sure featured offer eligible is active so you can see it. If all your listings say no, that means regardless of your price, you can't win the buy box, which will kill your traffic.
Filling out a request for assistance with seller support is a pain, but if you are persistent they will review your account. Once you have it reviewed, save the case ID number so you can use it in the future.

They recently changed the Buy Box algorithm (few months ago?). Its now much more difficult to get the Buy Box (but mainly just comes down to price). My Buy Box numbers have been cut in half from where they've been for years. They would rather just not get a sale if the price isn't low enough. Strange business decision that will no doubt affect revenue down the road in a few quarters.

If you're selling through FBA and you're competitive with Amazon, you'll get your turn in the Buy Box. If you're selling FBM, you could be significantly lower than Amazon but you often won't get the buy box; it seems to be reserved primarily for Amazon and FBA sellers.

Hello @Seller_l07ALaZxcsIZI,
Do you have a case with Seller Support that I can take a look at?
Thanks,
Michelle

It's Amazon's fault.
On the product page, Amazon has made it very easy for buyers to buy quickly from them but much harder for buyers to reach us individual sellers, now at least two clicks away. My sales are off 50 percent. This self-serving change benefits Amazon at the expense of us little guys who helped it get started decades ago. Amazon is deliberately depriving us of access by sellers. It's as if you have a store on the street but another seller comes along and builds a maze in front of your door.
Amazon is now our competitor, not our partner. After 15 years, I am actively exploring other sales venues and my own website. If enough of us leave, Amazon's user fee income will drop. Maybe then they'll pay attention.
I'd like to find a lawyer who handles restraint of trade matters, because that's exactly what this is. If enough of us join forces, we can do something effective. How do we do that?
