Hi,

It is really simple to understand. Amazon has its own brand and exist in all major categories. So in these high traffic days, amazon projects more visibility to its own products or home grown products for sales, rather than other sellers. If you have a proper sale tracking method, it is evident that there will be drop in sale on high traffic days. Even weekends having this impact. We understood this in recent months. Spending on Ad campaigns does not yield the same results as it did a couple of years ago with amazon.in. Strategy has changed and the sale got scattered after the big plate. Hope this clarifies. Focus ad campaigns on very normal days, the results will be better.

Hi Guys,

I’ve also seen some drops in sales but not high as 80%. Our sale drop is 10-20% which is common after the sale. I cannot say the exact reason for this much drop but I have few points which could help you a little.

  1. FBA, recently we were very aggressive for FBA, we are sending 50-60% of our inventory to fba in the past few weeks.

  2. Ads, I know the present ACOS is getting higher than 2 years ago. But what we have done is close all the ads which do not or generate very few sales. This has increased our revenue. Even I ran ads on Amazon AM recommendation for prime days but they were useless(50-60% ACOS). Which I closed immediately after the sale. And I’m running my own created ads which I optimize regularly. This helps me to keep the brand in competition and increase revenue.

  3. Run Deals/coupons even after sales end, run deals if you have Amazon AM, otherwise go with coupons. If you don’t wanna decrease the price then increase your product price and submit for deals(wait for 1-2 days), this way you don’t need to pay for promotions.

Last tip
Do not care about sales. Just grow your brand.
