How to change a generic brand!

Since the store did not have a brand record when it was first registered, I applied for the generic brand and obtained the UPC exemption to use the generic brand for product listing. Now that the registered brand has been registered successfully, how to change the previous link to the current brand?

You can not change that. You have to take a new UPC from GS1 and to create a new listing.

Btw. "Link" = that thing is called listing.

Hello @Seller_77Ncp0UQvZDnS,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I can provide some resources and policy pertaining to Brand Name Changes and as @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iACmentioned, in almost all cases, you cannot change the brand name of a current ASIN (or listing). You would need to create a new ASIN.

You can find this info on the Register products to your brand help page. It is the first highlighted yellow note: "Note: The ASIN's brand name can only be updated when the ASIN is created. For more information, go to Amazon brand name policy."

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Best, Dougal
