Amazon Feedback

Sold on Amazon for 10 years and I feel like we are in a place where about 1/300 orders gets a positive feedback. It's significantly lower then it's ever been. Negative feedback seems to just be the new go to for any minor inconvience for customers. I had a customer who got an item, broke it themselves (they showed photos and it's impossible for this damage any other way). Left a negative feedback even after I offered to replace the item and refund as well.

What is crazier about this is it's against policies to ask people to remove feedback with a direct trade or any kind of support. If you made it this far you're going to probably be like "duh" so why can Amazon not follow their own policy then?

Hello @Seller_6Hbs7LdUB56oC,

This is Josh from Amazon. Thank you for contacting our Forums!

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the feedback system. We understand the challenges you're facing and appreciate your long-standing commitment to selling on Amazon.

Regarding feedback, it's important to note that while we encourage buyers to leave feedback, it's entirely voluntary. The feedback system is designed to reflect the overall shopping experience, including factors like shipping speed, packaging, and customer service.

As you mentioned, Amazon's policy prohibits offering incentives for feedback removal. This policy ensures the integrity of the feedback system for all users. However, there are legitimate ways to address negative feedback:

1. You can contact the buyer to resolve any issues they may have experienced.

2. If the feedback violates Amazon's guidelines (e.g., contains obscene language or personal information), you can request its removal.

3. For product-related issues, you can work with the buyer to resolve the problem and potentially have the feedback updated.

Remember, a single piece of negative feedback doesn't necessarily harm your overall performance if you maintain consistently good service. Amazon's performance metrics take into account your entire sales history, not just individual feedback instances.

For more detailed information on managing feedback, please refer to our help pages:

- Feedback basics

- Feedback removal

We continuously review our policies and systems to ensure they're fair and effective for both sellers and customers. Your input is valuable in this process.

If you have specific concerns about unfair feedback, please don't hesitate to contact Seller Support for assistance.

Best regards,

Josh
