Billing Process for Sellers on Amazon – Who Should I Invoice?

I am selling products on Amazon, and the customer makes the payment online through Amazon. Once the product is delivered, Amazon transfers the amount to me after deducting their fees.

My question is: Whom should I issue an invoice to?

Since the payment is collected by Amazon and then settled to me, should I invoice the end customer directly, or should the invoice be addressed to Amazon?

Amazon deducts referral fees, closing fees, and GST on these fees. Should I issue a separate invoice to Amazon for these deductions?

How do I correctly record this transaction in my accounts to comply with GST regulations?

Looking forward to guidance from experienced sellers and Amazon support. Thanks!

Why do you need to issue invoice afresh ?

Amazon is issuing the invoices in your name. That is the invoice for GST or accounting purpose.

Treat the deductions like referral fees, closing fees, shipping fees, refund processing charges etc. as expenses. FYI, GST is not deducted by Amazon, it is transferred to you. That is your Output GST. GST on Amazon charges and Purchases becomes your GST Input.
