Business Customers requiring USPS Priority Mail Shipping

All of a sudden I am getting several Business Customers and when you go to Buy Shipping, they all revert to the USPS Priority Mail option. Anyone know why this is happening? Do Business Customers have special privileges when it comes to shipping? I am not signed up to B2B and in the past with Business Customers the shipping was normal.

Check your shipping templates and handling times. Amazon has been changing these without permission or notification (other than a "News" announcement about what a great thing they are doing for our benefit). If these numbers change, it can affect what shipping is offered.

And if you have ANY sort of automation turned on, turn it off (as that is implicitly giving Amazon permission to muck around with your settings to your detrement).

Buyers cannot select a shipping carrier or service.

The only choice presented to buyers are the choices you enable -- either through your shipping templates (on the pro plan) -- or the options you check on the individual plan.

I've noticed the same thing. With business customers only a few shipping options are available.

When you're making the label check to see if they have their store hours and schedule. Sometimes because of what days they are closed (Especially weeks like this where there is a USPS holiday), it will force shipping options based on the estimated delivery date. Unfortunately, with Amazon, it gives a single estimated day versus eBay gives a range.

Here's the deal, business customers (us as well) can set their business days and hours. For example if you set yours to only open on say Mondays between 10-2, then you too will get all your stuff priority. Amazon will not allow you to buy shipping that delivers on a day they are not open.

Next time you buy something, just before you order, set your business day to 2 days from your order date. Order with Standard shipping. tee hee.

In these cases, if not TOO much more ($1 or so), I go ahead and ship it priority, otherwise - nope.

Yea, AZ didn't think of that impact.

The shipping templates changed man. You use to be able to do the 3-5 day on all templates but no longer. It changed to 2-3. We changed it to 2-4. For thanksgiving we moved it to 5-8, it's just unpredictable at this point until after the holiday. However, we found the issue really fast. Not only did Amazon change the 3-5 to 2-3, they also changed the handle time from 1 - 0 on ours. Also keep in mind ground advantage from USPS or UPS won't ship to business addresses. I don't know why. Unfortunately because of these changes we had to kick it to 3-4 and add delay on the SKU level for each item. Before we could send a light item 3 days shipping to a business for 3.97- 6.43 , now its almost always 8 something and priority as the only option.

Recently, at different times First Class and Ground are not available and everything is set for Priority. Then it changes back again. Not sure what's going on there, but I'm seeing it pretty regular. I've also seen where it is forcing Priority, but when you go into the order you can opt for First Class or Ground.

Another possibility is the other shipping options delivery would fall on a day the business is closed. Your AMAZON buy shipping page wil list times that the business is open/closed if this is an issue. Time to go to PAYPAL/SHIPSTATION for a label!

I feel for you between Amazon and the high cost of shipping. We are on Amazon hopping that something will change. We start with Amazon in the 90's.

I keep a separate shipping program for this reason. You can get your label tracking info from your other program and select "confirm shipment". It then allows you to put the information in about who and how you shipped and the tracking number. Saves lots of money.
