Transparency code

Hi. I bought some products from Holland and Barrett which I reckon is a legit distributor/seller. When I received the products they did not have a transparency code on them. The brand I bought is enrolled in the transparency program. As far as I understand that means it has to stick transparency codes on every unit of the product sold even if it is not on amazon. They did not do that. What do I do? I spoke with an assistant and they told me to speak to the manufacturer to ask them to stick? How if I bought the product from Holland and Barrett, which is not the manufacturer? Many thanks in advance.

Where to start?

1) Holland and Barrett are a retailer not a distributer/manufacturer.

2) If you have bought through Holland and Barrett you are unable to sell the goods as new under Amazon rules as once they are sold by a retailer they do not fall under the "1st purchase" guidelines. You would need to sell them as Used- Like New. (if that is even possible as I suspect the items are foodstuffs/supplements)

3) I am guessing that the goods are foods/supplements. If so are you authorised to sell the items on Amazon and have the appropriate liability insurance in place.

4) Do you have permission from the brand to sell on Amazon?

I dont want to sound negative but if you havent considered all of the above I would advise going through Seller University as it will save you money in the long term and stop your account from being shutdown extremely quickly.

Just to add to above, and really just repeating what was said - buying from a retail store is NOT the best business model for Amazon, this is retail arbitrage, and you may get away with it for a while, but eventually Amazon will ask you to provide invoices, you will only have shop receipts, not full, proper invoices.

All the other points are relevant too.
