Amazon return policy.
I know this is not going to change, but I thought I would vent a little. We sell fishing sinkers. When a customer orders one of our products, they order it by the weight of the sinker. For example, they order 10oz. bank sinkers. They know that the sinker weighs 10oz each. Really doesnt get more exact then that. Now, if they buy one that is too big for their use. Why doesn't Amazon have an exchange policy instead of having to file for a refund. With the current policy we are losing the sale plus the cost of them shipping it back to us. Amazon used to pay for return shipping, but their own policy was costing too much, so they pushed that cost onto the sellers. Again, the return policy is set up so the seller has no say. Yes, we want to make the customers happy, but 9 times out of 10 we are being scammed. Not all the time, but more often then should be we never recieve our product back, or it is beat up and discolored. Rarely, do we get all the product back in good shape. There needs to be a legitimate reason for the return. This isn't like a brick and mortar store. We have to pay for shipping each way. This might not work for every application, but if amazon can offer an exchange program it might cut down on all the returns. Let the seller determine whether they pay for the exchange shipping or not. The seller should have more say with the returns all around. If a seller is too harsh with their return policy, then the customers will not buy from them. Again, I have seen way too often on this platform nothing will change. Sometimes we just need to vent. I just pray that someday there is another platform that can compete with this one. Then maybe some of these issues will get resolved. Just like that old saying. Never bite the hands that feed you. Well my hand feel like it been chewed on a lot. With advertising and all the fees Amazon gets a third of our gross sales evey year. I am sure most sellers on here are close to that. Way too often this forum is about bad policies. If there is a demand, someone will come along. Sorry about the rant, but returning a sinker you buy by the size is defective because it is too heavy, then wanting your money back is frustrating. Its not the first time this has happened either.

that is exactly what happen to us too! 9 out of 10 buyers are carelessly buying since they know Amazon is providing 100% return rate if they are unhappy with any reason
