Are Live Plant Selling covered under FBA?

Hello,

I am a new seller on Amazon India and selling Live Plants which has Medicinal Quality.

I would like to know,if ,Live Plant which is a highly perishable item has approvals for FBA ? When using Easy Shipping for remote location orders the shipment seems to be reaching after 4-5 days and the plant which is generally wrapped in soil or coco peat under certain moisture conditions may get dead.

What is a good solution to Cheap and Faster Transportation of the orders ?

go to any other courier website.see if they allow live plant shipping?do you know hsn code of live plant?do you know whether they are covered under gst?sometimes customer don’t accept the parcel(fake orders).amazon easy ship/fba don’t charge return parcel for that.fraud customers claim refund for items not as expected. They may say the plant was dead when they received.have you received any order?I’m not discouraging you. Beacuse i cann’t digest the idea. But if your idea is unique & noone is selling that there are chance of success.i hope you will find a way

Well thank you for writing. I was surprised to find that some of the India’s leading nurseries selling Living Plants. Nelsea ,Vamsa,Raj Gardens and even more. As per my understanding Amazon India may not be covering all category of Live Plants under FBA.

Living Plants are covered under HSN 0602 in 4 digit and various extensions are available. Being Agri product this should come under Gen_Exempt Tax Category of Amazon Tax policy in my own understanding as a Director of the company.

About fake orders, COD orders we have faced nearly 11 issues but ensured that we report each of them and raise an investigation. All I can say that the market is big enough and may the customers themselves get matured.
