Expense for selling a product is higher than the price of the product!!

Selling price of my textbook in amazon: ₹100

Fee for amazon: ₹58

Shipping charge to be paid by the seller: ₹45 (India Post Parcel)

Means ₹103 as the expense for selling a textbook in Amazon!!

Means I am getting a loss of 100rs when I sell a textbook costing 100rs via Amazon!!

Who decided these new fee structure? Seems like someone has arrived in amazon india and started taking idiotic decisions to increase the profits of amazon.

everyone who is selling low price products are facing this issue. I sell 149₹ to 199₹ products. 53₹ is the closing fee as per new rules. 3% (11₹) is the commission. Apart from that I have to pay 18% GST. Shipping is 62 for national. Earlier I had no issues selling in this price category. Now I had to increase the prices and because of that not getting much orders.

These are acting like a monopoly, taking decisions without consulting the seller. I have been a seller for eight years, and every two years they introduce new regulations that result in significant losses. The rule they have implemented is that, previously, there were different charges for local, regional, and national shipping; now, they have local and regional charges that are the same as national charges, and they require us to sell through FBA. We even started that, and for the previous two years, everything was going smoothly, but now they have drastically increased the shipping costs. For my top moving product, the national shipping charges were 297, but now they are 373, and their regional charges are 187 which was 193. What Amazon is attempting to accomplish is utterly incomprehensible, and it appears that they only want large sellers who can ship their inventory to all of their regional warehouses. They are even fostering competition by offering vendor central sellers a lower commission and fierce competition with regular sellers.

that's why Amazon is earning from every seller, every order every cancelled order, every returner order. 50 % seller not even get average 1-3 order per day.30 90 percent of total Amazon business done by 7% of top seller.
