Fraud returns and no verification before refund
hello
I have had 2 cases where customer took product and filed return saying they dint receive product infact one was cash on delivery and tracking shows its delivered . Amazon blindly gave them refund and when i communicated with one customer saying they returned a broken wire instead of product or wrong item they claimed to have received amazon raised violation warning to me instead
No help from seller support and safety claim is just refund of shipping amount .
Is this a new way of scamming sellers or is it just delivery agents failure to check return. ?

that's Amazon... buyer's friend and seller's nightmare.

I am an active seller on Amazon India. Between 20 April 2025 and 1 May 2025, I
received multiple orders for inverters and batteries, all of which were delivered and
confirmed via valid tracking numbers.
However, shortly after delivery, the buyer (under different names and accounts)
initiated return requests. In several cases, the original products were not returned at
all, yet Amazon processed full refunds to the buyer. Despite raising repeated
complaints and submitting evidence to Amazon Seller Support, no resolution was
provided.
Page 1Additionally, in one such return case, I received only one tracking ID through Amazon.
Upon personally investigating the return parcel at the DTDC courier office, I found that
the buyer had only sent an empty envelope. He had used that envelope’s tracking ID to
claim a full refund from Amazon, despite not returning the actual product (weighing
approx. 65 kg). This clearly demonstrates a deliberate fraud and misuse of the courier
tracking system for illegal gain.
