Sale % Off Not Displaying
I am running a sale on one item....$39.99, was 42.99.
The $39.99 sale price is showing on the catalog page, but no '5% Off' in red like on my other sales...the regular price appears in my inventory, highlighted to indicate the item is on sale.
I just don't understand why the sale announcement/notation isn't appearing next to the price...Anyone know what is going on or how to fix? It doesn't appear to be on sale at all when looking at the detail page even though the sale price is being displayed.

I think Amazon is deciding by itself whether or not to highlight a discount. I am also running a sale on some of my positions. Some of them highlighet some not.

This is the latest response but it doesn't really apply to me:
Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
We see that you have contacted us regarding sale price not showing on catalog page for ASIN B0F7JZ177H
-Price discounts will be visible six hours after its creation. Sellers can check the start date of the price discount on the dashboard or on the details page.
-If six hours have passed, sellers should resolve any errors present in the Price Discount dashboard.
-The discounted price is not the Featured Offer. This could be because there is a more compelling offer on the ASIN, including offers from a different price discount, deal, or Prime exclusive discount.
-The price discount sold through all of its committed units . Check the details page for the price discount to confirm the number of units sold.

Where is the price discount dashboard?
Nevermind....found it...no errors and the item that is not eligible according to this glitch is NOT appearing as one of the offers that is ineligible to be a featured offer...the only indication is on the Inventory page where it denotes it is not the Featured offer.

So now I am noticing many (but not all) of my on sale items show the sale price as the featured offer price and a notation that I am not the featured offer because my regular price is higher than my sale price. This error appears nowhere on my non-sale items (unless there are other sellers on the listing and my price is not the lowest, which makes perfect sense).
So basically, I am competing with my own sale price via my regular price, and the sale notation (like the 'typical price' slashed through or 'lowest price in 3 months' kind of thing) is not appearing because I am not viewed as the featured seller because of all of this....This ain't right, right?
What is the point of running a sale if no one can see it?

It has been this way for many years. I have a product I normally sell for $400, put it on sale for $300 - but nobody would know it's on sale because Amazon refuses to display it to buyers as a special sale price.
It's the same with 'free shipping' thresholds - you can set the shipping template up for free shipping if you spend $30 or more (or whatever), but nobody would know because Amazon refuses to display it to buyers.

Amazon decides when to show a sale by marking through the original price vs just showing the lower price. They do this based on price and sales history to prevent sellers from just putting a really high list price and then putting a more reasonable "sale" price. If you haven't sold a bunch of units at the list price or if the discount isn't big enough they will just show the sale price without noting the list price.

the % off notation is visable when there is a differance between the list price and your price...
