amazon 'validating' EIN still....
I have contacted seller support 5 times about this issue without any resolution.
Initially my account was activated by my SSN, but I recently updated it with my EIN. After researching, my understanding is that if it a company owned by an individual (me), then you should use your SSN (is this true, even though it is a business?).
Anyway, when I try to fix the error, the prompt says,
Your information has been received and is awaiting validation. There is nothing else you need to do. During this time, you will not be able to provide any additional information or make changes. We will contact you if we require additional information'
I called the IRS yesterday and confirmed that my EIN was active and named as I input into amazon. It has been active for >3 months.
My inventory just arrived at the amazon warehouse . Although I do want to know why the EIN is not being validated, I am more concerned about reactivating my account. I can figure out the EIN stuff later. What can I do to reset the tax interview and/or get this resolved?
