Can I pay someone to set up my Amazon store for me? New seller.

Hi, I am a new seller with my own branded garments and have tried to set up my new Amazon store but it is beyond confusing! I already have an ebay store which is so simple to add products to but the amount of information required on Amazon is beyond my capabilities and patience. I am confused by the product codes etc and it keeps telling me to fix errors (54!). I couldn't find the 54 errors so gave up and saved as a draft but when I went back to check, the draft wasn't there.

Are there any professionals out there who can set up or build my store? At this point I would be willing to pay someone to do it for me. I will be selling a range of my own branded mens briefs in a range of 9 plain colours and 5 sizes as well as a range with 7 different patterns in 5 sizes.

Thank you.

Selling on Amazon is a whole different ball game than Ebay, and there are LOTS of policies and metrics to keep to, and fall foul of any and your account is deactivated ! If you are struggling already, then I would stick to Ebay. The product code you mention is the barcode, and if your items do not have one then you need to buy them from GS1 (the only ones that Amazon will accept).

I'm not sure if anyone on here (the seller forum) would want, or be able to take on your store, as we all have our own businesses to run.

As it is your own brand my guess is you'll first need to register your brand with Amazon before creating listings. Probably a phaff to begin with but will help you protect your brand in the future. Search brand registry.

There's no rule against employing a professional to set up your account just Google 'Amazon account set up' and once you scroll past Amazon's own results there are plenty of consultants offering their services. Choose one with lots of experience as mistakes can be costly.

Amazon have an affiliates programme - i've seen companies offering this service - look under affiliates on amazon and you will see companies they recommend -

i would stick with who amazon recommend really as i've heard horror stories when somehow your account gets linked to other accounts that they may also be working on (iP address etc)

You need GS1 barcodes, variation listing flat files, and a lot of patience.

You can get the relevant flat file (Excel spreadsheet) from here https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/listing/cards

Then learn about the parent child attribute and fill in the spreadsheet, using the provided 'Example' tab for guidance.

Upload and check for errors, fix errors and repeat until there are no errors then you are good to go.

Good luck

You should really consider whether it's a good idea to sell on Amazon at all, they are an absolute nightmare of a company to deal with and whether you get somebody to set up you or not, you will find that it will be a massive drain on your time & possibly your pocket too as you try to get your products on the 1st page of search results.

Unless you are selling very unique products with good margins in an uncompetitive market, it really might not be worth the stress and your time will likely be better spent on your own website/social media

You read up on the negatives and potential issues before you move ahead

£10K, otherwise try wholesaling your products and let other sellers do the work for you.

...and then spend hours trying to get your money back from fiverr for a botched job.....and that is speaking from experience several times over
