Everyone has a tax id. If you do not have an EIN or wish to get one, then use your social security number.

All sellers are required by Amazon to provide taxpayer identification information when registering for a selling account, either through a W-9 or W-8BEN form.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) mandates that Amazon maintain a current Form W-8 for sellers, individuals, or entities who are not U.S. persons and even if you are a non-U.S. taxpayer, you still must provide Amazon with the required information.

IRS regulations require non-U.S. taxpayers to submit Form W-8BEN to Amazon to be exempt from U.S. tax reporting requirements.

Please visit the page Check if you need to file a tax return - Individuals for more information.

The forums community and I are committed to assisting you. Feel free to share how we can support you moving forward.

Wish you all the best,

Nikki
