Parent/Child listings

I created a parent listing and then I created two child listings (same product - quantity pack variation), but when I created them, I had the wrong Item Type Keyword. I was told that the only way to fix that was to delete the parent listing and then ask to have the child listings changed.

The child listing are now correct. How do I create a parent listing for these two orphans?

Hello @Seller_5An1uUUYMdL4B - and welcome to the seller forums!

This page has some instructions on how to re-assign child ASINs to new parent ASINs, along with answers to other variation situations that I hope prove useful!

I hope it's as easy as following these steps, but do let me know if you encounter other questions on this!

"To reassign a child item to a new parent:

  1. Delete the child item (removes its relationship to the parent). You may need to wait 24 hours before you can re-use your SKU.
  2. Re-add the child item, replacing the old value in its Parent SKU field with the SKU of the new parent.
  3. Validate and upload the completed inventory template."

Thanks,

Danny
