Returnless refund scam buyer

Hi,

I have reported this issue to Amazon and nothing is being done about it.

I noticed 7 refunds come in, all for the same product, one after another over a 2 week period. I noticed it's the same buyer.

She is buying the product, getting it delivered, getting refunded and buying the same product again! Over and over.. WITHOUT RETURNING

at this point Amazon is just giving my stock away for free

This is all FBA

I have worked out this buyer is abusing amazons policy but I keep getting sent from pillar to post by Amazon and getting the same copy and paste replied that don't answer my questions

Can Amazon take action on this account and please sort out a new system for returnless refunds.

If the buyer doesn't want the items, then I, at least want them back. Surely Amazon can't just give away my things?

Thank you

That is the problem of having returnless refunds active. You need to decide whether having returnless refunds on your account suits your business model.

I doubt it if Amazon have any systems to prevent this. If they do, they take time to take effect and by that time, you have lost a lot of money on that person.

There will always be scammers and thieves online and in retail shops.

If it is FBA then you should get reimbursed for the return within 45 days.

There are some exceptions such as shampoos where this doesn't happen but for most items it does.

I sell FBA too but don't have returnless refunds. If you are correct in what you are saying, maybe it has something to do with the products you sell. I have no idea.

I'm sorry, I don't have time to find out where you can switch them off if possible for you. If you can't, maybe risk your sanity by asking Seller Support.

Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear you’re facing these issues. I had a similar problem with copy-pasting replies for a different matter. Instead of just sending a message, I decided to call Amazon support, which worked better for me.

Here’s a tip: when I called, the advisor (who seemed to be based in India) listened carefully as I explained the issue. He assured me he would contact the relevant department internally. It felt like they took the matter more seriously when their own team reached out directly to the department.

Another suggestion: when choosing the call option, mark the issue as urgent. I found that this connected me to more experienced advisors who handled the problem more effectively.

Good luck!

this whole thing selling online is grinding me down. The amount of dishonest buyers is growing by the week..

i have had 3 this month. one just an hour ago saying they had not got what they ordered. they have taken an item out and said it was not sent when i remember doing the order.

you can tell by the way they message and then open returns without receiving a reply.. its so obvious but not fair on small business that already is struggling..

i hope you sort this thing out, it would make me very angry but you must do what you can.

have you reported the buyer other than on the support message ?

This is why we stopped FBA, even with the RETURNLESS REFUNDS , switched off , in our experience the customer gets to keep the item and get a refund even after 45 day wait, when we pressed AMAZON on why this was happening they said it makes for a better shopping experience for the customer giving my MONEY and my stock away dos not help me ...

Amazon can and do give away other sellers stock. It is part of their strategy to keep merchant sellers begging and 'in line'. They take not the least notice of anything their sellers do or say about this .. in short they are tyrants. They know well enough that their sellers are very unlikely to leave them, as there really is nowhere similar for them to go .. it is market manipulation at its worst.
