I need help understanding dimensional weight
I ship fbm a box 9x9x6 (outside dimensions) and 9ounces. When I purchase a label in “buy shipping”, what do I put for parcel length, width, height? What do I put for parcel weight? Do I have to do the algebra equation to calculate dimensional weight ? Or, does “buy shipping” calculate this for us? Is there a difference in what I enter if I ship UPS, USPS, OR FEDEX?

You put in the length, width, and height. In your example, 9, 9, and 6.
You put in the weight. In your example, 9 ounces.
You'll then be given a variety of choices of how you want to ship it. You select what you want, and buy the label. Then put the label on the package, and take to the appropriate carrier drop-off (or have it picked up, if you like).
