OTP Proof for returned items
Dear Friends, I don’t see anybody talking about it, but it is a great step by Amazon India providing the OTP proof for returned items. Many sellers here are suffering losses from returns not being delivered to them. Now it looks like we receive all the returned items back. Hope it will work as intended and they don’t find another way around to start stealing again.

I did not received a single OTP on my Mobile number nor on Email and the product status showing as returned to seller.
Are OTP strategy is working or not ?
IF working, how the deliver person marked as returned to seller without OTP Generated.

This OTP Proof for returned items is a joke for the ATS delivery guys. Since stat, this delivery guy has never asked us for OTP to verify the delivery, and they’re doping as before were doing.
I mean, If there are loopholes in the Amazon’s system then this must be noted the solve as soon as possible, and take action against the manipulation of the system by the ATS. If it doesn’t solve the purpose then what does it mean for that?

it is a good step by amazon but still not secure and amazon need to work on same.
one day morning we received an email notification with OTP with one order number. after two hours we received another notification with same OTP with two order numbers (one order number was same as earlier and second new added) and when the person arrive to return orders , he brought only one the first one.
now question is how can it is possible that after generation of OTP once , some one edit the same and add one more order number ?
in our case we received one and shred OTP (since it was new process we also did not understanded well) and amazon system considered that all two returns delivered to seller. we filed safe-t claim but denied by saying records are showing that all two orders are delivered to you on xyz date and time.
if OTP generated once with whatever the numbers of orders should not be editable as per my openion. if after an hour additional orders comes for same seller that they should generate another OTP instead of editing previous OTP and add order in same.
we have already raised this concern anD fighting for our denied safe-t claim becuase our premises where we dipatch and receive returns are equipped with HD cctv camera and we have proof of cctv footage that that day only one was returned to us. becuase we are in to jewellery business , we have such kind of infrastructure of cctv camera but other sellers dont have the same so they have to be very alerted while receiving the returns of this kind and sharing OTP.

Yes, agree that system is good. but lots of things to do in this regards. Most frauds happen at implementing level and many ATS delivery guys know, how to manipulate Amazon’s system. Like, I’ve risen the issue to the Amazon that the ATS delivery guys know the hack that they can know the OTP of our shipment. In short, they can mark our shipment as delivered, without actually delivered the shipment, because they know our OTP by hacking the system so they can verify it to the system as delivered, without delivering it to the seller. It is shocking.
