I have applied for both brand name and GTIN exemption successfully, but I still get this error:
"Brand Authorization Required: The ability to create or edit ASINs using this brand name is restricted to authorized sellers. You need to apply for approval to add or modify products for this brand."
I followed the instructions as provided.
I select the right product type and the correct brand name with the right spelling. It almost seems like my account doesn't have the authority to post products under my brand, but it is my own brand, and I have valid documentation on my account.

Do you sell on other Amazon marketplaces? Possibly another marketplace is considered as "brand owner".

It does sound like there may be an issue with the GTIN here. Understanding you have a GTIN exemption already, there may be an additional requirement for a category-specific GTIN exemption depending on what category this item is in.
