Opening a second Seller Central account
Hi Everyone,
We are launching a second brand and want open an entirely different Seller Central Account. We know we could have two brands under the same account but we would like to keep them separate. Will Amazon still connect the two accounts if the Primary contact person (address, bank info) is the same? Any information, guidance, experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I believe you can do this, but have to get special permission from Amazon and the products have to be totally different categories. I've never done it, though, so I don't really know the specifics.

You can have a second account if you have a good reason and do not sell the same products or interact with each other, or each other's competition, EVER, You do not need to request permission. A separate e-mail is required. Of course if one account gets suspended, so does the other.

Amazon will connect the accounts.
You must have different everything except for the physical address.
And, as pointed out above, any problem with either account will "infect" the other.

Hi @Seller_NCmTRICjltEFP,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for the question. You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.
Examples of a legitimate business justification include:
- You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
- You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
- You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts
Please reference the resources below for more information on this as well.
Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy
Address a Multiple Account Policy violation
Selling policies and seller code of conduct
Please let me know if there are any other questions.
Thanks,
Steve
